Zai Lab Social Media Community Guidelines

Effective Date: July 1, 2026 | Last Updated: June 30, 2026

Our Commitment

Zai Lab’s social media channels exist to share information and engage with our community in a transparent and responsible way. Patient safety and privacy are at the center of everything we do. By engaging with our channels, you agree to these guidelines, our Terms of Use, and the platform’s own terms of service. We also reserve the right to modify our community guidelines at any time. Your use of our Zai Lab social media channels indicates your acceptance of any revisions to these guidelines. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes by posting a revised version with an updated “Last Updated” date.

What We Ask of Our Community

To keep our channels safe and constructive, please be courteous and respectful. We reserve the right to remove posts, graphics, comments, videos, photos, or any other content that falls under the following categories but is not limited to:

  • Sharing or requesting medical advice or treatments, or offering medicines or medical devices — always consult a qualified healthcare professional
  • Mentioning or promoting any pharmaceutical product or brand from any company, whether positive or negative — due to federal regulations (including FDA Fair Balance requirements) governing how pharmaceutical companies communicate about products or treatments, we are unable to allow discussions of any pharmaceutical products or treatments on our social media channels and such posts will be removed
  • Containing promotional, commercial, or sponsored content
  • Promoting or calling for violence towards any segment of the society
  • Potential defamation or libel
  • Violating copyright or intellectual property rights, or the privacy of any individual
  • Promoting illegal activity
  • Sharing any misleading or fraudulent information
  • Using language that is not appropriate (profane, abusive, discriminatory, or harassing)
  • Sharing content unrelated to the post under which it appears
  • Repetitively posting or “spamming’’
  • Using our Zai Lab social media channels in breach of any condition set forth in these terms or applicable laws
  • Sharing personal health information or personally identifiable information about yourself or others

Reporting a Side Effect or Safety Concern

Your safety matters to us. If you wish to report a side effect or have a safety concern:

  • You can report side effects directly to the FDA at www.fda.gov/medwatch or 1-800-FDA-1088. You may also contact Zai Lab at AEreporting@zailaboratory.com.
  • If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please dial 911 or go to an emergency department immediately
  • Contact your healthcare provider if you otherwise need medical attention

If you share information about a side effect or adverse event on our social media channels, we may be required to contact you for additional details in order to fulfill our regulatory reporting obligations. We may also need to remove your post to protect your or someone else’s privacy.

Non-Endorsement

Comments and posts from community members are not created or controlled by Zai Lab. The views expressed by community members do not represent the views of Zai Lab. We do not endorse user-generated or third-party content shared on our channels, do not warrant their accuracy, and assume no responsibility or liability arising from content of the page nor for any error, omission, defamation, libel, or slander. Caution should be used before relying on any particular statements or opinions expressed herein. Links to external sites are not an endorsement of those organizations or their content. Our linking to or following a non-Zai Lab website or social media account is not an endorsement of those properties or their parent organizations.

Data Protection and Privacy

Please note that third-party social media platforms have their own privacy policies governing the information you share. We strongly recommend reviewing the privacy policies of the respective platforms you use. We also recommend that you avoid sharing personal health information or other sensitive personal data on social media channels.

Your interactions with Zai Lab’s social media accounts are subject to Zai Lab’s Privacy Policy, which provides information on how we collect, use, and process your personal information. For more information, please see Zai Lab’s Privacy Policy.

Moderation

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these guidelines and to block users who repeatedly do so, at our sole discretion. We may also restrict or limit participation for those who repeatedly disregard these guidelines. Our social media channels are monitored during U.S. business hours. We reserve the right to contact users privately when content raises safety or regulatory concerns. Content removed from our channels may be retained for regulatory and compliance purposes.

For medical emergencies, please call 911 or your local emergency services. These guidelines apply to all Zai Lab social media channels, including but not limited to LinkedIn and X.
